For many students and graduates, breaking into the Civil Service or policy sector can feel challenging, particularly when navigating applications, interviews, and development opportunities for the first time.
We want to provide meaningful assistance that reflects the realities of starting out in this space. Our aim is to help reduce some of the pressures faced by early-career applicants, while continuing our wider work of making public service and policy careers feel more accessible, inclusive, and achievable.
THE SERVICE FUND
The Service Fund is a £250 fund created to support aspiring Civil Servants and Policy professionals at the beginning of their career journey.
We understand that applying for early career opportunities can often come with hidden costs. From preparing strong applications and travelling to interviews, to accessing useful resources and building confidence for the next step, these costs can make the process more challenging.
The Service Fund has been designed to offer practical support to students and graduates who are serious about pursuing a career in the Civil Service or policy space. Our goal is to make early career opportunities feel more accessible and to support applicants who are committed to building a future in public service.
Who can apply?
The fund is open to students and graduates who are interested in roles within the Civil Service, public policy, or related areas of public service.
